Ther completion of the Mer-Ka-Ba, as taught by Drunvalo, requires the guidance of the Higher Self, i.e, the 18th breath. Personally I have made contact with my Higher Self, but it doesn't generally seem very interested in giving much direction at this point. However, I have learnt more about the possabilities of the Mer-Ka-Ba field from my Higher Self.
I am curious if others experience is similar. Also I am just curious in general what experiences everyone else has had connecting with their Higher Self.

Re: The Higher Self
Mon, February 13, 2006 - 4:38 PMIt is important to realize that your higher self has already lived this life and knows what direction to take to allow your fullest potential to unfold. So when we connect to our higher self, it is us without the ego and in a higher dimension that remembers living this dimension. I felt guided to write that.
I don't know what the 18th breath is either, but it is usually the breath I take as I affirm Oneness and that I am an interdimensional being. I ask what I need to at that point and ask for my higher self to guide my steps towards unleashing my fullest potential. Whenever I ask a question in this state, I usually get an answer that day too. usually spontaneously at some point during the day.
I'm sure my higer self is waiting for me to have better medition skills before I receive proper instructions about the 18th breath :) -

Tue, February 14, 2006 - 2:30 PMThinking about your reply, reminded me of what my Higher Self has been teaching me about the Mer-Ka-Ba recently. Basically it is about connecting the Heart with the Mer-Ka-Ba in a particular way.
You sound liike you know quite abit about the Mer-Ka-Ba meditation. Have you been doing it for long? And did you learn in a worshop?
Kind regards,
Jared

This has been exactly my experience. My Higher Self is very interested in sharing with my ways and methods to use the Mer-Ka-Ba field once activated via the 17 breath meditation, but remains silent on the topic of the 18th breath. Most of the instructions I have received have to do with increasing the feeling of unconditional love within the field and noticing the other geometrical energy fields that the activated merkaba connects to(Drunvalo talks about this some in Volume II of ASOFOL). I've been assured that when it's "the right time" this information[the 18th breath] will be readily available.

Wed, February 15, 2006 - 7:43 PMThis is fun! I feel like I'm tripping. I can't explain how I found this thread, but I'm delighted to know that you will all probably understand perfectly. Did any of u see "Muppets From Space"? What an awesome movie. I love the muppets. Just checked out "Muppets Wizard of Oz" last week, another trip. I don't really have anything to contribute to the discussion, but big hugs to you all, my space buddies!!!

Re: The Higher Self
Wed, February 15, 2006 - 9:21 PMSounds like our experiences are very similar. Although, only once has my Higher Self suggested and guided me to connect with another field, which was the Dodecahedral field. It had something to do with ressonance with the Christ grid surrounding Earth.
I can definately relate to being guided to be in a state of unconditional love. I understand now very clearly how valuable love is, not only within the experienceof the Mer-Ka-Ba, but to do with everything! *laughs* To some, that may seem a bit extreme, but I have seen and been where love lost it's meaning - and became a just a word - without even knowing. After that experience, once the door opened again, back into love/heart consciousness, I realized it's wisdom and beauty. I pray that I will never be closed to the love of the heart again.
Kind regards,
Jared -

I don't know the 18th breath which takes one into another dimension of being.
Anyway, I suggest that if someone tells you what it is, then you don't just walk away, run! Just kidding.
Only your Higher Self can teach you the 18th breath. The funny thing is that even if you found out about the 18th breath from someone and you where to try it, it wouldn't work unless your Higher Self allowed it. You must be ready, and when you are, your Higher Self will show you the way.
A hint which may help however is that - as far as I know and I could be wrong - the 18th breath is more than just a command like "34/21." It involves a complete integration of your Mer-Ka-Ba field with your Heart.
Kind regards,
Jared -

Re: 18 breath meaditation
Sun, February 19, 2006 - 11:28 AMi experience it this way.
7 breaths are for practicing our connection to Love for all things and deprogramming any residual prrograms of darkness. the next 4 breaths are to practice Love for all things and practicing awareness of our main pranic channel and 3rd D human center. the next 3 breaths are for practicing our Love for all things and practicing awareness of our 4th D heart center which is where our higher self is most receptive. the next 3 breaths are for activating our merkaba and the 18th is whatever our higher self suggests we do with our Light vehicle next.
hope that helps.

Only the 14th breath is technically focused at the heart chakra. At least, this is the case from the teachings that Drunvalo has given us.

Tue, February 21, 2006 - 9:00 AMit's been awhile since i've practiced according to drunvalo's structure. if i recall he makes it pretty clear that after awhile we may change up the structure to suit our own needs. -

Re: The Mer-Ka-Ba meditation
Wed, February 22, 2006 - 7:34 PMI don't disagree with any paticular word. It is the changing of the meditation itself which I disagree with.
For instance, the first six breaths cleans and balance the primary eight energy channels. The next seven breath recreate speherical breathing within body, and all seven breaths are required to maintain and balance the sphere. The next breath, the 14th breath, moves the balance of pranic energy - the sphere - from 3rd dimensional awareness to 4th dimensional awareness - Christ consciousness. The next three breaths activate the human Lightbody, and tune it harmoniously with this 3rd dimension. Each phase has a distinct purpose.
Once the Mer-Ka-Ba field becomes permanent, then only one breath is required to keep the Mer-ka-Ba field alive. However, this does not mean that the benefits of the other phases remain without going through the meditation in the way it was instructed.
I have recently been reading about Drunvalo's explicit advise not to change the format of the Mer-Ka-Ba meditation. He mentioned the other teachers of the Mer-ka-Ba and people on the net giving different instructions, and he says how harmful this could be if followed. He mentions as a sincere warning.
I just follow my heart. I am not a follower of individuals. My heart tells ME not change the meditation.
This is how I understand it.
Kind regards,
Jared -

Thu, February 23, 2006 - 6:21 PMyes.... i have tremendous respect for drunvalo and his work... however, he like many other teachers can sometimes slip into insisting that their way is THE way.
i let that slide always and simply let my heart be my guide. -

Re: A quote from a letter by Drunvalo.
Fri, February 24, 2006 - 4:30 PM"Further, the final result of the type or "Order," speed ratios, geometry, location of breathing focus within the body's chakra's system, and the location of the body within the time/space/dimension will take the meditator into the level of consciousness (way of interpreting the One Reality) that this Mer-Ka-Ba field predetermines. If a person is simply guessing or experimenting, this will almost certainly be spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically fatal. This is the reason why the guidance of Higher Consciousness is essential in being instructed in the Mer-Ka-Ba science."

Re: 18 breath meaditation
Sun, May 31, 2009 - 5:32 AMThis has been a very powerful meditation for me, I started practicing it back in 1999 (I think) and it really shock the shit out of me, from that time to this almost nothing in my life is the same.
I stopped doing the practice for many years, but am starting to get back into it fervently.
Love Light and Service to you all.

Fri, June 5, 2009 - 1:07 AMI was so impressed by a woman's misappraisal of myself in regards to merkaba, that i have elected to leave this tribe and the subject, as so much unintresting elitism. Egalitarian at best. If you want people to follow the love, think before you speak.
