I was looking into local teachers of merkaba meditations, and found one through www.merkaba.org. As the workshops they held are all about 3 -4 hours outside of where I live, I asked if they ever came into the city. I included a short introduction of myself as well, which mentioned that I was a conscious channel (I don't do deep-trance at this point, nor do I know if I ever will). The instructor wrote back saying that they refused teachings to anyone who channelled and attached a very long article on how channeling was demonic possession.
I was very surprised to get that reaction to say the least! Not something I was expecting from someone working within the Ascension paradigm. I'm glad that happened, as I would not have wanted to pay several hundred dollars for a 3 day retreat, only to find that I was not welcome! I've since found that FOL workshops are given about twice a year closer to my area, and am awaiting the new schedule to be released.
Now, I have my own opinions, but I was wondering if anyone here had come across that view that one cannot practice merkaba if they channel (which I personally believe everyone does in one manner or another if they are in touch with their intuition/Higher Self)?
Blessings,

Re: Channelling incompatible with merkaba?
Thu, August 16, 2007 - 9:23 PMDevi,
First, most people are completely clueless about the nature of psychic states, what their relation is wrt to reality, how things really work, why they live, why they experience the experiences they experience and what happens to them after they die. Clueless.
Secondly, most people have absolutely no idea what MRQBA is, its function or how to use it.
So, if some moron tells you that they won't teach you about MRBQA 'cause you are a demonically possesed channeler, what does that tell you about them?
One last point, until one has sufficiently centered one's self with the One-Self, meaning that one is operating (where else?) in the side columns of their Tree-Of-Life (most aren't that functional, as all they can realize is simply the fallen Tree [aka Chakras] where the demons exist in our consciousness) one IS demonically influenced. EVERYONE!
Psychic states can be greatly enhanced by actively interacting with a side column demon, very bad practice though, as one will eventually expire and in so doing, the demon(s) will have a field day when the shells of embodiment begin to break up in AsiYaH....bad...bad...bad. No don't want to do that. So, work to awaken, get off your gurus butt and chant the name, YaHova!! Move into resonance with the One-Self and set yourself free. Psychic states are not the goal, but are a seduction, a distraction from the goal of getting the fleek out of here!!

Re: Channelling incompatible with merkaba?
Mon, September 1, 2008 - 6:14 AMDevi - I have just had a serious breakup (hopefully not) with my daughter who emigrated to the UK a few months ago - she is very very deeply involved in Gary Smith's teachings (a teacher) and I am a conscious channel - it has let to her emailing me and telling me that she does not think she will be able to maintain a relationship with me.... what kind of movement or viewpoint encourages this kind of thing?? I used to be a Scientologist in the old days and left because of their manipulation at that time.

Re: Channelling incompatible with merkaba?
Thu, February 12, 2009 - 10:19 AMI have heard similar, in many teachings this is so, and not without good reason...... in the ANcient Teachings of Yoga it is suggested that truly all magic - for instance - is not good because in many cases it is about the will opf the person not ab out 'free will' and even healing sometimes the illness returns because the person has not done a work on themselves and may still hold negativity. Or we do healing and send healing but it is from our ego and even with the best of intentions we are perhaps - WHAT i READ WAS SAYING THAT WE ARE INTERFERING according to 'our will' .
i TRY NOWADAYS TO SAY FOR THE HIGHEST GOOD OF ALL CONCERNED. OR IN ACCORDANCE WITH DIVINE LAW.
So I can see where this is coming from, because we are 'human' and we have Pride and all the other vices for the most part.
